/ MORE ABOUT US AND OUR MISSION

Company. We develop, operate and acquire run-of-river power plants and assist co-investors in buying, operating and selling.

/ OUR STORY

We are a German energy company with roots in Norway and Germany.

Deutsche Wasserkraft AG is a German energy company with roots in Norway and Germany. By building up our own portfolio of hydroelectric power plants, we create sustainable added value for investors, the environment and the common good. With hydropower, we use a stable and cost-effective source of electricity generation that produces no CO2 emissions.

We develop, acquire and operate small run-of-river power plants and assist co-investors with the purchase, operation and eventual sale.

DWK's management has long-term, direct access to operational assets and project developments at important hydropower sites, particularly in Scandinavia, the Alpine region and southwestern Europe. The management supervised a total of transactions and the operation of investments worth two billion euros and has been servicing investors and their investment vehicles for around 20 years.

/ OUR MISSION AND VISION

Strengthening renewable energy — with water and vision

Deutsche Wasserkraft AG is actively committed to implementing the transformation of the energy sector and to achieving European climate goals. We are helping to drive forward the expansion of renewable energy sources and to be able to guarantee a financially and environmentally sustainable energy supply in the future.

The core of the business lies in the acquisition, development, construction and operation of run-of-river power plants and their optimization.

In doing so, we aim to implement projects in cooperation with local developers and thus expand our own portfolio in cooperation with professional co-investors. In doing so, we strive for stable, continuous and profitable growth.

/ OUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE

Financial goals

In the future, as a result of the electrification of our world, electricity will account for a significantly larger share of total energy consumption. This will lead to a growing increase in demand in Europe.

The experience and approaches of management and supervisory boards are consistently used to build up a profitable, sustainable portfolio of hydropower plants. The construction of own investments, also with the involvement of co-investors, creates economies of scale and enables permanent optimization of capital allocation/ROCE as well as the generation of “recurring revenues.”

We set ourselves the goal of being in the best possible position in the European energy transition in order to make flexible use of the resulting opportunities.

We are disciplined and careful when allocating capital in order to maximize long-term value through flexibility, efficiency and therefore steady cash flows. We are preparing for future growth and are always adding to our pipeline of investment opportunities. The focus is on efficient capital allocation, balanced risk and attractive returns.
